Re: FelPro 1074 4.125 bore work on 4.030 - 355?

Re: Some blower piping upgrades

Thanks, I am hoping the 4" intake, big MAF, and giant filter nets me a less restrictive intake and maybe a couple more pounds of boost. I am seeing 15# at moderate rpms and haven't really revved it...

Re: Unknown vac line? Emissions?

I'll bet that's what it is. It is tapped into the brake booster vacuum line that goes to the intake manifold. Just get as much of it out of there as you can and plug it or cap it off.

Re: Mazda Speed (turbo car) vs LT1 (turbo car)

You were right to kill it, but don't they only have about 260 hp stock? Even if he doubled that, wouldn't you still have more?

Re: Unknown vac line? Emissions?

I'm wondering if someone at one time had that tube connected to a vacuum modulator kit that Trans Go sells? The kit replaces the pressure control solenoid in the valve body that is electronically...

Re: Starting out on a 5.3 Turbo setup for my 96 Z28...

As long as you are being paid hourly... Then you can throw a little extra money at it if you want. Some of those prices are surprising..

Re: Some blower piping upgrades

Thanks - I used to have two nozzles at staggered positions in the first elbow, but when I redid everything I put them in the spot that is most advised by the 'experts'. I could probably have squeezed...

Re: Some blower piping upgrades

Thanks for the compliment! Both ways are effective. If nitrous was somewhat cheaper, I would probably have that, too. Without an intercooler, I show high IATs, although I am spraying most of the meth...

Some blower piping upgrades

I am still rocking the same setup more or less - but did redo my intake and discharge piping from what was still the basic kit, and re-piped the meth injection scheme - here's a few pics. Did get to...

Re: 383 AFR 227 Heads and an F1a @11.5-12psi

Thanks,
I did see the photos you had on the other site and got some idea what it is. I like that drive kit you installed - that one you have looks pretty tough on there.

Re: 95 misfire/no power

Start with the basics - connectors to all sensors, firing order, get it on the scanner if you have one and see what does/doesn't check in. A 95 is harder to screw up the opti, but it can be put on...

Re: Need Transmission help really bad!!!!

The system takes almost 12 quarts, but some of it stays in the converter and cooler, so when you drain the pan, all you are really doing is changing half the fluid and diluting half the the old fluid...

Yeah it is  OTH my same pump is still in there kickin. I did wire the WP relay to the fuel pump relay, but never foolproofed it with an alarm system. 8 years later, not sorry I went electric.

Re: How much Knock is normal?

It depends when you get the knock. A little knock is normal on whacking the throttle and on upshifts, but you certainly don't want any when you are just cruising around normally. It also might be...
