Re: Problem with VATS or BCM?

When the car does not start, the car has power in the cabin but when I turn the ignition nothing happens. Again, this is only when it's below freezing. It's warm up here in Cleveland today and the...

Fuel Lines

Hi everybody,

The gas lines on my 96 with the 3.8 have rusted out under the driver's seat right where they turn and go into the rubber lines that go up to the engine.

Any one know if...

Thumbs up Re: 3.08 to 3.42 axle swap

Great information thank you.

An axle shop gave me a quote of $1100 to change the gears and set up the PCM and speedometer. Good hunk of change to blow on something that really doesn't need to be...

3.08 to 3.42 axle swap

Any idea how much this will throw off my...

Re: PCM Question

One thing I failed to mention because I didn't think it mattered is that the engine in my 96 is a freshly installed engine from a 1998 Camaro. The PCM is the PCM original to my car - it's not the PCM...

Re: PCM Question

Really? Wow. Well, the kid at Autozone didn't tell me that. He said if the light comes on after I put the new sensor it in then there's something else wrong. Bad PCM, bad wiring.

I also...

PCM Question

Hey guys

The "service engine soon" light is on in my 96. It's apparently from "low activity" on the bank 2, 1st O2 sensor. I paid a shop to tell me that. That said it's either a bad O2 sensor, bad...

Re: Ticking sound

Y'know, I'm glad you said that because I thought of that. Maybe an exhaust manifold gasket. I'll look into that. Thank you!

Ticking sound

Hello,

I hear a ticking sound from the left side of my 3800 that I only hear when the car is moving. It sounds like a lifter tick tick tick but I don't hear it when the car is idling in drive or...

Hi there!

I have a 1996 Camaro Sport Coupe with the 3800. It has the standard 3.08:1 axle. Performance is adequate but I would like a little more poke out of the car.

I have found a 3.23 rear...
