Re: 94 z28 stock lt1 to 383

400 rwhp w/o a power adder would be easier to achieve with more cubes (stroker). A 350 ci will need more rpm to see the same hp.

YES, and the heads are more important than the camshaft.

Be...

Re: 94 z28 stock lt1 to 383

Grab logging/tuning software like eehack/tunerpro and DIY...

Re: 1994 distributor bolt broke in timing chain cover PLEASE HELP

You're going to want to lower the oil pan enough to get the cover out. Unsure if this can be done with the motor bolted to the mounts (assuming you have an F body?). I haven't wrenched on an F body...

Re: 1994 distributor bolt broke in timing chain cover PLEASE HELP

You might be able to remove the timing cover and get ahold of what's left of the bolt.

Re: Where Iím at!?

Bang for the buck = gears & stall.
Shift recovery will be much better with a proper converter.
If you're not looking for dragstrip performance then the stall can wait, otherwise I highly recommend...

Re: LT1 miss fire

Well, it's official, I am an idiot.
Used a stethoscope to listen to the injectors, of course they all were switching fine.
So that brings me back to a spark issue. Before the engine swap the...

Re: LT1 miss fire

Re: My lt1 vs 454 BBC el camino

A typical - mostly stock - 4th gen z28 auto around me runs 13.7ish (1/4 mi.) with 2.0x 60' times. Summer air DA is usually 2200+.
Several high schoolers I've seen just deep stage on street tires and...

Re: My lt1 vs 454 BBC el camino

I wouldn't run a spool on the street with a C clip rear.
Some guys have luck with the 7.5 rears but I haven't, could always run it until it breaks - it might not. A stronger rear end would be a...

Re: My lt1 vs 454 BBC el camino

Get sticky tires, practice, & lose the highway gears (if thats what u have) for starters.
Not too sure about a 7.5 rear living through very many hard launches.

LT1 - first timer

Hi all,
I "inherited" a 95 roadmaster (my son didn't want it) a few years back and have been researching LT1 related (mostly DIY tuning) info ever since.
There is a lot of good and recent info on...
