Re: 94 z28 stock lt1 to 383

I am...

Re: 94 z28 stock lt1 to 383

Someone stated previously that stock TB is 54mm, which will be plenty, and I can always change that later as i wont have spent money on it. And yes I'm going to work up the spare engine as it has...

Re: 94 z28 stock lt1 to 383

Hmmm, well I dont want to have something unnecessary. If 52mm will do then I'd rather get that or something right above it in case I ever want to add more power. I want to get at least 400rwhp, so...

Re: 94 z28 stock lt1 to 383

Alright guys, so I'm kinda dumb and forgot that I had a spare set of lt1 heads already ported and polished in my garage. And after looking a bit I've decided I'm going to send my spare block off to a...

Re: 94 z28 stock lt1 to 383

Re: 94 z28 stock lt1 to 383

I had my math wrong, it topped at around 35knots, over 40 mph as I said before. And I know this as I literally controlled the throttle control which gave the speed output.

Re: 94 z28 stock lt1 to 383

That sounds perfect for what I want to do! I want it to go when I hit the pedal, and it already sounds perfect with straight pipe no cat, but I want to have this increased performance for a weekend...

Re: 94 z28 stock lt1 to 383

I have answered these questions in this thread, I would like to stay under $10k, but I understand that will be hard for the full car, may be doable for the engine alone. And my HP goals are at least...

Re: 94 z28 stock lt1 to 383

Re: 94 z28 stock lt1 to 383

This is exactly what I want to do. My main goal for the start is convert front brakes to c5 (and eventually all 4) and replace the shocks and springs, as it's a 25 year old car and I know it needs...

Re: 94 z28 stock lt1 to 383

I found a 2800-3200 lock up one for 4l60e that's only $400, for the torque converter would it be recommended to go the extra mile and spend more on a better one? I dont know if this one is bad per...
