Re: Rough idle after treatment.

Re: 454 and 396 just purchased. Have some questions.

3931063 heads are junk and should only be used on a numbers matching motor. They shroud the valves so bad that a peanut port head will make more power. Sell them to a collector or an old school...

Re: help with my 69 camaro

There are always a way around cloning a car. If you are getting a good deal then it doesnt matter. I have swapped out vin tags so you cant go by that anymore. I believe it was said that 1969 camaros...

Re: Header fitment to other Chevy models.

It will not work. I tried my Camaro hedmans in my 1993 c10 and I believe they hit in at least two spots. I couldn't even it get bolted up.

Re: 73 Camaro P/S

Jeep Cherokee gear box and truck rag joint. cheap quick ratio. If you don't plan on autocrossing then I would buy a reman unit and hoses. Go to napa. Should be able to do complete thing for $300. ...

Re: Pilot Bushing or Throw out Bearing???

A pilot bushing should stop making noise with the clutch let out. Throw out bearings should change pitch when slightly pushing clutch in. I ALWAYS use bearings with alittle bit of synthetic grease.

Re: Gear tooth contact pattern question

Check the website because i "believe" motive wants a different pattern on the 7.5 rears. Seems a little low to me on the drive side but very close. Coast side looks good to me.

Re: GM Tech 2 experience?

The fuel pressure should not go down on shut off. Will not cause running issues. Did you get the new pump in yet. What is the maf g/sec at idle. With the larger cam you should be around 6 with a min...

Re: 95 350heads on 305block will it work? help me...

Most 305 heads are 76cc. It is very hard to find tight chamber 305 heads. Most of them came on the hi-po 305, monte ss and hp camaros plus some more. the heads are probably both 76cc or larger. I...

Re: computer controlled igniton to hei non computer

There is no way that should spark knock at 35 total. That motor need 36 to 38 because of the sucky heads. I would look at a possible spun balancer. A very small amount equals 10-20 degrees. Just...

Re: help with motor!

The motor is not original so you can do whatever you wanted at this point. I would look at crate motors because even the best motor from the 70's sucked. Something with vortec heads make nice...

Re: problems hooking up

Relocation brackets and torque arm is the best thing you will ever do. I would not even try until you get a new rear axle. That 10 bolt is good as gone as soon as you start hooking up. It is good for...

Re: Ceramic / low dust brake pads?

I like the napa adaptive one brake pads. I sell them everyday and put them on all cars and most trucks. NEVER have noise issues. The hawk and ebc are great pads but a little aggresive for my liking.

They are not all that hard to rebuild. I am also an ase master tech so it might be alot harder for a rookie or a novice to try. A good transmission shop doesn't charge all that much to overhaul it....
