Re: Smoke Detectors

The point is you will have no idea when the power goes out on that circuit and battery backup could fail without you knowing. I mean what if it does the "I'm dieing" beeping while you are on...

Re: Smoke Detectors

They can not be on their own dedicated circuit, they must be on with something like a hall light so you know if the breaker has tripped or there is some other issue with the circuit. As per code.

Re: Those against cell phone jammers are only looking at it from their point of view

So you would only sometimes be breaking a federal law?

I think you need to look up what dignity is before calling people stupid.

Some of you also need to get over yourselves. If some guy...

Re: Smoke Detectors

They have to be interlocked by code. Even the just battery ones will talk to each other via wireless. And the wired ones still need a new battery now and then.

Re: Smoke Detectors

CO is pointless in a ceiling mounted detector, it will be far too late for anything by the time the detector catches wind of the CO.

An ASD (asperating smoke detector) is the best. Generally...

Re: Interest in cell-phone jammers increases..

This is a misnomer.
As it has been said, these devices are illegal. Simple as that. Some places just simply install a passive method of blocking, much like a Faraday cage.

Never heard of a...

Re: HR recruitors that dont contact PROFESSIONAL applicants, w/ hire status, are hole

What sucks is when you have 40 man hours into bidding a job and they don't even let you know that you weren't awarded the contract. And there are only like 7 other companies bidding so it wouldn't...

Re: Bench Rest scope thread.

Nikon scopes are great, hard to argue with one of the makers of the highest quality glass out there.

I personally love the Vortex Viper line of scopes. I have one on my 204, and looking to pick...

Re: Walking Dead season 2 thread

lol.
Next week will be a good one.

Wonder what will happen with the other people, and why didn't rick shoot the driver that left his man in town? I can see some kind of war happening.

Why...

Re: Talk me out of buying a 17 HMR based rifle.

That's what I have, in stainless, I prefer my savage. The rifle basix trigger is nice, but so is the accutrigger.

Re: Talk me out of buying a 17 HMR based rifle.

I don't know if I would buy a Dan Wesson, they are up in the range of 1911's like the Wilson Combat, which I think is better.

I have a savage 17hmr, and it is dead accurate, accutrigger is...

Re: Talk me out of buying a 17 HMR based rifle.

I love the CZ 452. My buddy has one, very nice to shoot. His loved the 17gr Hornady ammo and the CCI TNT rounds.
Pics?

That's a great price too, they start at over $550 here. We get hosed on...

Re: Maserati Cambiocorsa

How much?
My sisters BF has a Maserati, and they both have nothing but good to say about it, but I can't remember what year or anything, it's pretty new though I know that.

Re: Talk me out of buying a 17 HMR based rifle.

CCI, Hornady, Remington. And of course each has a couple different bullet choices.
Hornady 15.5gr NTX is my favorite.

Re: Talk me out of buying a 17 HMR based rifle.

There is a 50 dollar bounty on them here in places. .17 is too small for them though, have to get too close. They are smart around here. I think our yotes are a bit bigger then down south too.

Re: Talk me out of buying a 17 HMR based rifle.

I love my 17hmr. Lots of fun to shoot. And I can get at least 3 different brands of ammo.
I can shoot it for .17 a round, so I hope you can get it at least that cheap in the states.
the cheapest...

Re: 2008 Mercedes-Benz E350 4MATIC

Its only AWD when it's needed, it drives very similar to a RWD car most of the time.
My dad has a 09 C350, and it's a fantastic car, little smaller as someone said, but really great to drive.

Re: What's a good PDF editor?

I didn't know MS had a plug in.

I should note that I am using Open Office, and not MS office.

My files are generally one page, so a bit bloated will go un noticed.
I do have a 315 page file...
