Re: Cadillac

Unlike modern alloy wheels, sometimes those spokes would break too.

God I wish I could have been alive during those days (maybe I was!). Can you imagine the sense of adventure of traveling a new...

Re: Neighbor has ALS and I just dont know what say...

I'll third this. It's terrible and awkward, but it's a few minutes or maybe even an hour or longer of your time. If you can help with anything, I'm sure they'd at least appreciate you asking the...

Re: Thoughts on Audis?

IMHO, the newer 328's (especially the coupes) aren't that confidence-or-awe inspiring on the road. They kinda feel like cows, actually.

I'm a fan of A4's except for the price. I've owned two of...

Re: What can happen if you skip jury duty?

My s/o elected not to respond to their requests. They haven't bothered him since and that was like 10 years ago.

Re: I need to vent...

His crappy neighbors probably already did. You know, holding out hope that one day, they'll work their way up to the upper class. "We shun assistance programs, but we'll gladly accept your check."...

Re: I need to vent...

Half of #2, all of #3, #5, and #6 aren't your concern. She's noisy and keeps odd hours. Welcome to apartment life.

Sorry I sound unsympathetic. It's only because I've lived in ****ty apartments...

Re: Pay Diagnostic fee without Diagnosis?

Yes. They spent time diagnosing the car. Just because they didn't find the problem doesn't mean that you don't owe them for their time

Re: What do " YOU" think of the Chrysler Crossfire ??????

Heavy and slow was the theme, ya? I don't remember much about them but I remember they weren't rocketships, had horrible resale (which is a good thing for used buyers)

Re: Manual Transmission Operation/ Everyday Drivability/ Clutch Engagement-Takeoff

The clutch behind the LS3 is stiff and springy for a production car. It takes some getting used to--the first couple times I drove it, it kinda catapulted my foot backwards and would grab hard. Like...

Re: Power windows (auto down when door opens+cold weather?)

The window should be able to flex enough in its track to pull around the lip where the window meets the roof rail.

Jason's got the right idea with keeping your weather stripping clean and...

Re: New GNX.

The GNX was a RWD, full frame, 2-door sedan, and the value of those cars is still ridiculously high.

The Regal doesn't have the look, feel, configuration, or style that the original GNX had, not...

Re: Pup-pup-pup popping sound...

It's pretty tough to diagnose using spelled out phonetics on a message board. lol

I almost wonder if it wasn't the HVAC system. The HVAC systems in these cars make REALLY weird noises and...

Re: The New Lounge Order

I'm still here. But I have lost a lot of reason to come to this site, for natural causes:

1) I don't own a 4th gen or classic F-Body, so those forums aren't useful to me.
2) I do own a 5th gen,...

Re: Keeping old house and getting approved for new mortgage?

Springtime is a good time to have your house on the market. If you can sell for asking price, take it and run.

Re: My new tow rig.

I rented a Yukon with the 5.3 a couple of weeks ago. Went on a long trip, lots of highway driving. I think it averaged 16.9 overall, but that was with the 6-speed auto and stock tires and everything.

Re: Keeping old house and getting approved for new mortgage?

The credit requirements are stricter on a 2nd primary mortgage, and the language is getting riskier to the consumer. I've heard that not only do they require a lease agreement and "proof" that you're...

I went looking for my '97 V6 which was my favorite Camaro. I tracked it to a wrecking yard, and the guy I spoke to on the phone was kind enough to send me pics. Sure enough, that was my car....

Re: What caused your Divorce?

Well, I didn't have a divorce (we aren't married) but came close to parting ways. We had been together for 7 years, and there came a point in time where we faced some pretty tough questions. Were we...
