Re: 4L60E Transmission Issues

Thanks for the help guys, I ended up removing the valve body and applying air to the clutch apply passageways, and the 1-2 clutch pack leaks a little and the 3-4 clutch pack leaks A LOT...time to...

Re: 4L60E Transmission Issues

Also the fluid that I drained was not burnt, and did not have any metallic powder in it.

Re: 4L60E Transmission Issues

Yes, fluid is right where it should be when hot, is not burnt and is brand new. When I left for the first drive it always seemed like it went into neutral at a certain sweet spot, and if I let off...

4L60E Transmission Issues

Alright here's what I've got. I've got a '98 Z28 that's got 112k miles on her,a mild cam, and a few other bolt on's that are irrelevant. I just picked her up for practically nothing. I've got it...

Re: Runs great for bout 30 mins then starts running like its on 4 cylinders

What kind of water temps are you running after it's warmed up? If you're having circulation issues of some kind the LT1's do not like a whole bunch of heat. I would recommend using some kind of live...

Re: 95 z m6 ob1 to ob2 convert?

So Injuneer, if one were to swap the OBD connector and drop in a 96-97 LT1 motor/harness along with exhaust and PCM, that's basically all it takes to create an OBD-II car? Just clarifying.

Talking '93 3.4 V6 to OBD-1 LT1 Harness questions

Hey guys, I'm back! After a brief 1 year hiatus from the Camaro world, I'm finally getting another! (#4 lol) I just picked up a '93 Camaro hardtop car, was originally a 3.4 V6/Auto car. My question...

Re: Headers and exhaust questions

It depends on if you plan on keeping your cats or not. If you delete your cats, there's no point in keeping your down stream O2 sensors as they wpould read no different than the up stream O2 sensors,...

Re: Headers and exhaust questions

I have the ceramic PaceSetter LT's on my '96, and they were easy to install, all I really had to do was drop the starter and they went in smooth. I also got the Y-pipe from PaceSetter to delete the...

Re: building a 355

There are a ton of factors to consider, why are you wanting to wheelie? These cars are fairly easy to hook up, but before you consider even trying to build an engine capable of lifting the car, you...

Re: 2000 camaro engine swap ideas

It all depends on your budget, buddy! A good friend of mine just managed to swap a 468 into his '95 Camaro RS, but for the price he could have almost been better off just buying a factory v8 car and...

Re: Why would my ASR turn off?

My '96 Z28 did that awhile ago when I turned the hazards on. Doubt this will help you at all, but I ended up tracing it to the turn signal flasher! Since I replaced it it's never done it since.

Re: '78 Camaro Can't hook up!

I don't, not by any means. I'm in the process of building the car, and I'm just browsing some setups and I'm sure someone knows what works best. I've got an old set of Mickey Thompson Street ET's...

Hello guys!

It's been awhile since I've been on here, and my project has come a long way in the last few months. I've got my engine, trans and rear-end built and in the car, but I have one last...

Re: Cylinder heads for -0010 block

Okay, since the last time I posted on this, the engine for the car has become a completely different animal! Now I've got a 2x4 Holley 450cfm setup on top of a Weiand tunnel ram, and I decided to use...

Re: Good heads for a tunnel ram sbc

It's a 355 0010 block, originally from a '71 El Camino. I had it machined for splayed bearing caps too. It'll take whatever I give it I'm sure of it.

They are not HID's, but rather they are xenon charged bulbs that are dramatically brighter. They use the same 9005 & 9006 bulbs the 98-02 camaros use. I chose to order these instead of using silicone...

That depends on just what exactly you are looking for. Personally, I believe the LT's with the off-road y-pipe would be the best route to go, for both awesome sound and performance with the LT1. I've...
