I've been looking long and hard for a stock set of LT1 valve seals. When I rebuilt my engine, I purchased CC 987 dual valve springs. Not thinking much of it, I went ahead and didn't have the valve guides machined for a smaller valve seal as the stock ones fit perfectly under the springs.

Unfortunately, once putting the engine to getther, I coudln't find a valve seal that would fit under the springs like the stock on. So I improvised and found a small one that barely fit on there. I don't feel the adiquately seal the valve. Does anybody know where I can find a set of exact stock replament seals... The stock ones were actually metal with a rubber inside that slid over the seal. They worked like a CHARM but I couldn't find anything like it when rebuilding the engine.

i would try the dealership. they'll probably be expensive though!

 

I tried the dealership... Unfortunately, they sold the silly little rubber replacments. They weren't totally outlandish but they didn't fit either

I would call them and double check those part numbers that was them I believe but they may have changed part numbers since I printed my list of things.
