WTB SLP billet steel lw flywheel for 93-97 LT1
Re: WTB SLP billet steel lw flywheel for 93-97 LT1
Don't know if you're still "in the market" for a SLP lightweight steel flywheel for the LT1 but ...... I've got a lightly used (about 4,000 miles on it), one!
Let me know if you're still looking for one,
Ken

Yes I'm still looking for the SLP billet LW flywheel can you take pics and give me a price, thanks?

Your photos as requested!

This is a slightly used SLP billet steel (lightweight) flywheel, original SLP part number 60036. This 13 lb steel flywheel is a direct bolt in replacement for the stock Gen II LT1's cast iron "dual mass" approximately 22-24 lb flywheel, and is balanced to stock (i.e. rear external engine), specifications. This flywheel is stock balanced, NOT zero balanced, and worked perfectly when removed after about 4,000 miles.
Flywheel would be shipped in its original SLP packaging.
Looking to get $225 plus actual USPS shipping cost when ..... you submit where (???) it should be sent.

Wow it looks like the surface is pitted or overheated it doesn't look like it can be resurfaced, or is it just a bad picture?
Is that why you removed it after only 4000 miles, what disc were you using?

"Is that why you removed it after only 4000 miles, what disc were you using?" I was using a standard LT4 clutch disc which came with the Valeo LT4 kit and LT4 pressure plate. The flywheel was replaced because I built a 550+ HP 396 stroker motor, (see my signature), and went with a 600+ HP "puck style" clutch disc. The combination of a very aggressive clutch and a light flywheel, does not make for easy street driving. I will warn you, if you've never driven a car on the street with a lightweight flywheel, while the improvement in throttle response and acceleration is impressive, you will re-learn how to leave from a stoplight.

Hope the additional info helps.
