I might be confused here..

Your car currently has 2.73 gears in it so it uses a 2 series carrier. Meaning that it already has a 2 series carrier in it, IF you currently have 2.73 gears.

You ordered new gears.

What gears did you order?

If you really need new gears, I'd be happy to sell you what I have for $50 plus shipping.

But I don't want to sell you something that you don't actually need.

If you bought 3.42 or 3.73 or 4.10 gears, then you need a 3 series carrier...

I hope you understand that I'm just wanting to be 100% sure before we stike a deal.

IF you already have 2.72 gears, then you already have a 2 series carrier. You don't need a new one unless you just want to replace it.

Mine had 84,000 miles or so on it, and I'll take $50 plus shipping for it.

The gear carrier and the diff are the same thing basically. It all goes inside the housing.

Ok, I see why you're wanting to buy a 2 series unit now, yours is burned up..

I hope you understand that I didn't want to sell you something you didn't actually need or want because maybe you didn't understand or something. I'm just trying to be a good seller, and provide the help that I would hope that another would provide to me...

As far as I know, my posi unit was working just fine when it was removed from the car. I had it removed because I installed a new 3.42 gear set with a 3 series carrier (diff).

If you're interested, let me know.

Yeah, that's all Brandon needs is a new series 2 posi (Carrier) since he has new gears coming for his posi that's burned up.
