i need a new or used shift boot for a 93 formula 6 speed. i also need the bracketing so that it will connect to the console. that is the piece that broke on mine. please does anyone have an extra one or possibly parting out a car and could sel me one.thanks

 

If you do a search in the Parts Wanted forum-you will see this a lot (I put up a post a month or so ago). I looked and there are 0 replies to all of them. I even tried to look around at junkyards with not much luck. My local dealer quoted me at $95 for a new one, but I'm waiting to hear back from gmpartsdirect-they have it for $50 shipped just about. Here is the part number:

93-96 17997789 $41.21 + ~$8 s/h

I'm waiting to hear back from customer service if that is the right part number for my car. Good luck getting a used one-but if not you might want to try gm
