Stock heads.... make an offer
Stock heads.... make an offer
I have a set of 94 LT1 heads, 173,000 miles. They are completely disassembled. Car ran great, no problems, it was just time for ported heads. These would be great for a set to send to lloyd. Shoot me a price, they will be shipped from NW Indiana, 47922.

that is a sh*t pile of miles dude. Have they ever been overheated? I am looking for some cores to send to lloyd or AI, would they work good or not? What is the casting number on them? Seeing how I would prolly have to spend another hundo on getting new valve guides, what is your price for them? With that many miles there is a huge gamble that the metal will be soft and not work for high horsepower applications...
but still intersested.
thanks

Re: Stock heads.... make an offer
Sorry I didn't respond quicker. The car has been in my family since it had 300 miles. My mom drove it till 60k then I drove it the rest of them! It was very well taken care of, and never overheated. The guides were actually quite tight when I disassembled them, so I am thinking you won't need new ones.... could be wrong though, I don't have anyway to measure them accurately! (just with calipers)... I spoke with lloyd about selling to him directly and he said that I should just sell them on the board. He said that 200 plus shipping should be fair, but I will do 200 plus 1/2 of shipping.
Pictures will have to wait till this weekend as I am away on business right now. Send my your email address and I will send them when I take them. They are in very good shape, I was very surprised when I pulled the motor apart actually. Very clean inside and it has had Castrol GTX its entire life, which after seeing the inside of this motor, I swear by!
The engine was only taken apart because of an extremely bad oil leak from the pan. It was running great when I pulled it!
