Powerdyne BD-11 w/mods for sale
This is pending my ability to find a good used Vortech S-Trim kit in the near future....which looks somewhat possible. This Powerdyne kit will make more power than you may think. It made 8 PSI on stock motor with 1.6RR's and longtubes with the solid intake conversion, RE0920 filter, paxton bypass valve, and ASP 6.45 crank pulley (stock 2.93 6 PSI sc pulley). All will go with the sale. You would get the whole kit plus extras ...minus the ignition which is crap to begin with (Crane ...sigh...I have already replaced it). I have over 3K in it and it only has 6,500 miles on it and no problems at all other than an engine needing rebuilt
If you are looking to get a beginner's supercharger that will get you to ~400 rwhp with some effort, this is the one. Very quiet and easy to install. This one is the better BD-11 unit and reports far less failures than the previous Powerdynes ...in fact I don't really know of one. It gave me the numbers in sig with longtubes and 1.6's ....I really think it was tuned too aggresively. It had lot's of little problems on the dyno that required extensive runs (valve float, bad Crane ignition, bad knock sensor, etc, etc) .....I really think it was the beginning of the end for my rod bearings, which failed about 3K miles later. Never had belt slip issues since I went with a larger crank vs smaller blower pulley (more surface area).
The reason I'm considering sale is I have to rebuild anyway, and it makes sense to lower the compression ratio and up the boost some. This blower is pretty much maxed out for an engine running at 6,400 if you check the impellor rpm. I would rather use a Vortech and drop my CR some more if I can find one....and I have two that are possibilities.
