LT1 Water pump, 3.42 gears, diff., valve covers
First off, GM 3.42 gears and a 3-series Auburn differential 7 5/8 10-bolt off of a non TCS car. (off of a 96 T/A) These have less than 19K on them and where pulled to upgrade. As you can see, they have NO surface rust as they were stored in a oiled bag. If you look close, you can still see the factory cross-hatch on the ring gear...that's how new these things are. I changed the diff. fluid (per GM) at 750 miles, and used synthetic. I then changed the fluid at 10K, and finally pulled it at 19K. (I change my diff. fluid every 10K out of habit...just because).
I'm looking for $160 for both. If I have to separate, it'll be $115 for the diff., $70 for the gears. Once again...these things are factory fresh! Shipping will be extra, of course. SOLD
Next up is a used but otherwise great condition LT1 water pump. It was NOT leaking when pulled. I'm in the process of completely rebuilding my car, so I'm buying everything brand new. The pump has 40K on it, and is in great shape, both inside and out. The rear bearing turns smoothly, and the weep hole is bone dry. In hindsight, I probably could have cleaned this up and saved myself a lot of money...but oh well, already bought a brand spanking new one. My lose is your gain. Would like $50 (+ shipping). SOLD
And finally (for now) a stock set of LT1 (Firebird) valve covers. Nothing special...just nice clean covers. I upgraded to fully polished ones, so I don't need these. They come with the hardware, just add your favorite gasket (I like the blue Fel-pro personally). Looking for $25. (+ shipping).
