Do the 987 beehives go without any machining? I heard something about the 918 doubles only being a drop in and go spring? Need springs so maybe you can help.

The 987's are not beehive's they are a double spring and i have read mixed answers on that same question, some say the 987's will drop right in and some say the heads need to be machined. I was going to use them on my heads and cam install but the heads i picked up had lunati beehives already installed.

I think the comp beehive's are 918's
