No mod's as of such..........only thing that's not factory is the exhaust, which is a bola (think I spelled that right)......its been babied.........female owned......asking $14,500.-.......now don't scream too loud - I went to the bank and found out that a normal Z28 (not the Anniv. model) book's for around $12,000.-. They told me that there's nothing in the book they could find for the 30th Anniv. model - price-wise - but that they too thought is should be worth more the plain Z28. So with knowing that - and the 3 yr. extended (transferable) warranty, and very low miles, Which you won't get from too many private owners, that's how I came up with the price......BUT, hehe, you guys have to see 1st......its a pretty car.......
I do live in the Cedar Rapids area - in Iowa - if anyone wants to come take a peek at it.....

Thanks,
JetBlk Z28

The anniversary edition was white w/ orange stripes. They all said 30th on the seats that year. What color is the interior?

Excuse me - I DID NOT say in way "THE" 30th Edition........if you go back and read my last post - I said it was the 30th Anniv. "Model"........there is a diff.
But no matter - I'm not looking for "K-Mart" shopper's......this car is the last of the "4th Gen"......plus it is a 30th Anniv. "Model"........plus, tell me where else you'll find one, like mine, that offer's 3 yrs. left on a transferable warranty???

Sorry, a lot of people don't know the difference. And I thought that since you said you were asking more since it's a 30th that you figured it was a limited edition.

Well, I might be female - but I'm NOT blonde.......
Guess I didn't realize that alot of the kids on here don't know the
diff.
I didn't come on here to get "slammed" and to be told my car isn't
worth more than $9,000.- or $10,000.-......I really don't understand
how some guys can say that, when - you all haven't seen it. I know
I've left alot of stuff out about the car - but god.......
I've seen piece's of #@!$ go for alot more then what I'm asking...
I was told that this was a really nice site to come too - that there's
alot of really nice people that post here.....did I make a mistake?

Oh, yeah - and for the guy who said he didn't think my bank knew what
they were saying.......Wells Fargo told me ....

There is alot of misunderstanding about 30th anniv 97 cars. I think most people who have a 97 think they have an aniversery model. The special edition model is white, may or maynot have orange stripes, had white rims, white leather and was a premium option for that year, appearance only to my knowledge no peformance differences. All 97 cars have 30th aniversery embroidered on the headrests, hence most people thinking they have the special model. I'm sorry but if your car is black it is probably just the standard 97 Z28, while nice, is not worth the "collectable" value of the anniversery model. You can take these peoples advice for what it's worth, and some could probably phrase their commentary better, but it doesn't change the facts as we know them.

Another factiod, especially on these forums, cars don't seem to fetch good prices b/c people around here seem to want screaming deals and are exposed to a fair number of cars and will wait till they find one, for better or worse.

No misunderstanding on "my" part.......I NEVER said I had a 30th Anniv. Special Edition.......what I said was: it was a 30th Anniv. "model".
But remember.....You get what you pay for.....if your looking for a "daily driver".....so be it......this isn't it....
You can't tell me that a car that has been well cared for - has very low miles - has extended warranty with it, is worth the same as one that has been "used and abused"?? Come on??
I'm just here to get the word out that I'm selling......If I don't get my price......it'll stay in the garage.....simple as that...
I just thought or I was told that this was a good place to get the word out - not get slammed for doing so. Hummm, there must be alot of kid's that come on here looking for that $20,000.- car that they can pick up for $1,000.-
Well, like I said - I may be female - but I'm not blonde and have no intentions of "giving" my car away, just because a few on here seem to think my price is a little high.....and I don't care what those internet blue book prices say.......I talked to my banker..Plus, its easy for a few of you to say its worth x-number of dollars - when you haven't even seen it.......Duh>>??

I'm not trying to bash you or your car. I remember the fits I had trying to sell my 98Z28 with ext warranty, 32k miles, in above average condition. Was asking about what you were and took less last year. General consensus around here is that LS1's are of higher value too. This again is only information for you to take if you wish, and part of the problem with selling cars, they are rarely going to fetch book value(retail) and often will split somewhere between wholesale Kelly blue book and private party value. Don't look up retail resale b/c that is for car lots, and almost everyone around here knows you'll get hosed at a car lot.
Used cars, especially performance cars have subjective values to people and I think you may just wanna take what some people say with a grain of salt and not get too offended. Some people will always think something is too expensive. Remember that a used car is only worth what someone is willing to pay. Now you may just find a person willing to pay your asking price. You may not, and for that you may just get to keep your car. I was just offering some information. But the way you worded your rebuttle to one of the posters, it appeared that this was being advertised as a 30th aniversery special edition/model when it seems to be a standard 97 car, therefor is going to book at whatever a 97Z with your options and condition is. Also, I don't think gender came up until you made it an issue. Granted some people could have been more gracious in how they worded their posts, but don't get to bent out of shape about it, and just take it with a grain of salt, or make a simple comment and move on.

Okay......like I said......I didn't say it was the Special Edition......Someone else made that comment......and YES you are right, you need to find that right buyer.......and alot of kelly blue book prices are not correct - in my opinion - their going by the average......but thats just my opinion.......so I priced my car at $14,500.- because it is extra nice - and I have to start somewhere, and didn't say I'd stand 100% firm if I found the right buyer.....

I own a 97Z, and would rather own it than any LS1 camaro, but most people can (and will) go buy a newer, faster LS1 camaro for less money before they would even think about paying a premium price for a 97Z28 no matter how nice it is.
I believe this is probably a show room condition car, and i think it would be awesome to own a LT1 camaro that posesses a warranty! In all honesty, if i was a doctor or somebody filthy rich, i would probably jump all over this car since it is what i would be looking for (with the exception of a 97 anniverary SS with LT4).
to get that level of cash for the car will require finding the right buyer. Even considering all of this, I believe the car is worth more around $12,000 in all honesty. And no, I am not saying this because I'm a bargain shopper; if you sell it for less than $11000, someone is getting an excellent deal and you could say you "gave the car away," but if you can get close to $12000, be very happy because the used car market is terrible right now...trust me, i tried to sell mine a couple months ago!
