3.73 rear for sale!

Now that I have a 9", I have my rear for sale. The rear MIGHT have 1000 miles on it since the 3.73's were installed. They DO whine a little, but they are Richmond so it should be expected.
One of the studs has been replaced on one of the axles, it had been replaced before I got the rear and my metric lugnut does not thread on so I do not know if it is a 1/2 stud or if it needs a die run down it to clean up the thread. I knew the rear was only temporary and would never see strip duty so I left it alone.

The Rear is painted black, has ABS in the center, and has some 'extra' options as well:

TA cover
LCA relocation brackets (Welded on)

I think that sums up the rear. If you want the brakes (LT1) I can throw them in with it all the way from the Center flex line to the hard lines to the red painted Calipers (all three flex lines are Earle's Stainless lines).

$450 FOR THE REAR WITHOUT BRAKES, $550 WITH BRAKES!

[b]I may have figured out a way to ship this, so E mail me if you are interested.... I will personally deliver up to 150 miles (From Beaufort, SC) myself for a little extra charge to cover Gas.

EDIT: I also have a 1LE driveshaft I will offer to the buyer for an extra $125, if it is purchased seperately I will sell it for $150

Is it a series 3 posi? I am willing to trade my working series 2 posi with good factory 2.73 gears plus cash for your posi only. Or, I can buy it outright if you want. I just need a posi so I can use the series 3 gears my friend gave me.

SORRY, i want to keep it complete. However it is a 2 series. Why are you trying to go to a 3 series? is there really a difference once the gears are installed? I believe the posi's themselves have the same internals and strengths once the thicker ring gear is installed.

Ah, ok. The internals of the posi's are the same, it's just the carrier that's different. In my opinion, since series 2 gears are thicker, they really should be stronger than series 3 gears.

The reason I am switching is because i got a set of series 3 gears from a friend and would like to swap them in. I dont want to use a ring gear spacer, because my reluctor wheel is broke, and I bought one for a series 3. I had a deal for a used series 3 posi, but the seller backed out because he couldnt get it out of the housing for some reason. So, it's turned into a big mess....

I was wondering where you got your 9 inch and how much you paid for it. I am looking for one myself. I am saving for a Moser 9" with 3.70 gears. Thanks.
