steering/alignment qu

i was recently in a slight fender bender, and i got my car back today, looks perfect, the job done on it was PERFECT... anywho..

they did an alignment (the suspension wasnt touched in the accident, all cosmetic, it drove perfectly after the accident, just ugly).. anyway, they did an alignment, just cuz, well, now, the car drives straight when the steering wheel is about 5 degrees to the left of centre (not much at all, but enough for me to know about).... this is all because the alignment was done slightly incorrectly??

either way, my car's work is fully insured, so i'll be calling tomorrow to book it in for a free re-alignment...

and, on a side note, i dont know if this is fact or just my crazy brain, but the car seems harder to turn to the right, is this something to do with a bad alignment?

Centring the steering wheel is part of the alignment and yes it is possible that the car is harder to turn right now. Most cars are setup to ride the crown in the road so it steers straight with minimal effort. They may have increase, or reduced the amount it wants to ride the crown making it feel harder. Also may explain the steering wheel not centred. If they did not centre the wheel they arent worth a **** because thats the only thing most customers will notice and complain about. Also means they didnt test drive the car after or they didnt care, either way its not acceptable IMO.

Tire pressure is also part of the alignment. Unless you have a leak all tires should be set to the specs on the door jamb (probably 32psi front/back).

Re: steering/alignment qu

the tires are all fine, they're only a year old (i''m not hard on tires... ie. not many burnouts and whatsnot (its a daily driver v6, thus not much gusto to it)), and they all have the appropraite tire pressure...
thanks for the help, guys...its always nice to have 2nd and 3rd... and 4th opinions ..

Drink several beers untill you forget about the problem(s) with your car and it will drive much better than it ever has before. It's the only way I can drive my big truck.

WARNING: consuming alcoholic beverages before driving will cause pot holes, bumps and curbs to become smaller and the urge to take your car off roading will seem fun untill the next morning when you see the damage inflicted by all said above.
