Somefolks are really stuck up.
Somefolks are really stuck up.
Driving home on Hwy 99 in the fast lane with the top down I looked in my mirror to see a 30th Camarro SS vert in the slow lane. This is rush hour so traffix is pretty steady at about 100. He must have got on at the HWY 10 entrance. He was not far behind me.
I decided to slip behind a truck in the slow lane to let the Camaro come up beside for a little nod and mutual appreciation.
Sure enough he pulls into the fast lane and I notice he is a middle aged driver with a male passenger and the car is clean and well looked after.
Sure enough he pulls up and I just look over, as I'm sure most of you would do, but no, these two guys just cruise by with no acknowledgement whatsoever.
I guess they didn't see me.
Hell I even had the electric cut out open but maybe he had the stereo so loud he didn't hear me.
Bloody snob.

Maybe they were gay and the driver thought you were hitting on his boyfriend?
haha
Actually, considering how much we are into our cars, it actually does surprise me how some people don't realize that they are actuallly driving a piece of history. Our cars have a lot of culture and memories behind them. Some people don't know what they got.
My guess iss the guy was an A$$hole and figured his 30th was worth more than any other F-body. So yes you are right shaun some people are stuck up. I just had to poke some fun at ya!
haha

As noted everyone isn't going to hunt out F-Body's to give them a "nod"

Just find us enthusiasts and race us

Actually, a guy in a stock WS6 pulled up to me on Hastings a while back, he wouldn't even look over. Then he pulled ahead gunned his car and then pulled over. His car was 100% stock BTW. I then proceeded to pull up and laid some patches down Hastings. You should have seen the look on his face.
Haha I hear ya.
I was at Metrotown once and there was a guy with glasses driving a nice 3rd gen, white with blue stripes, or the other way around. He was al happy when i told him "nice car" but sometimes I'll be driving down Let's say, Arbtutus or Oak or whatever, and catch a light with a guy in an F-body, and lean over and say "Hey nice ride!" He'll look at me for a second, mutter something under his breath and drive off. VW drivers are the best for ackknowlegement, they give me the right-of-way and stuff, and since there's so many of them around that's pretty often
I would always seen Johhny in his 30th anniv. Z28 driving by. I got the wrong impression of him cause he looked like he was going to bite my head off if i tried to talk to him a bout his car. He always smiles when he drives it, but not a nice smile, more of a "i'm about to kil somebody smile"

Some people drive like they have binders on and others like us are checking everything out around us. I wont even hit the brakes hard without looking in the rear-view mirror. Most middle aged men don't nod cause they're not cool enough. The worst ones are the old farts driving their new vettes. I give and recieve nods everytime I go out.
Except to RICERS.

Hey Raene I've got a neat old nova, what did that one look like?Sure hell hope it wasn't me.There's always people who's %$it doesn't stink , Vette guys are the worst [I have one,but I know my #$it does stink] ,but it's cool to run into REAL car guy's once in a while for a wave or quick chat, even if your cars are not the same make.
It amazes why some people buy these cars - because they know NOTHING about either the car or the culture around it. To them, its just a Corolla... Usually middle aged. Either that or they are snobs, as you suggest. I tend to think they are ignorant.
