It will make your shifts shorter, quicker and more percise.
More fun to drive.

Its an easy install... I'm FAR from inclined towards the car and installs, but I managed it without any issues...

I installed my B&M Ripper about 5 years ago, and LOVE it. I've only ever driven with the stock shifter and the Hurst shifter. I didn't like the angled style of the hurst, and the stock shifter is just crap

I'm VERY happy with my ripper.

Thanks for the advice. I learned how to drive stick on it so i dont really know what anything else feels like. I had a chance to take out and drive the **** out o af bullit and it seemed a lot easier to shift. Im going to be picking one up this weekend does anyone else need one i can usually swing a great deal on stuff like this.

I love my angled Hurst shifter. You just have to get used to it. The Pro 5.0 and B&M ripper are the most popular ones. Lots of raves over Lou's short stick too.

i know i've only got a 5 speed, but i got my B&M shifter for $206 at Best Buy in vancouver, thats a pretty good deal for it... mopac wanted $240+

its an easy 30 minute-1 hr install (depending on whether youve taken the interior appart before or not), and the difference is night and day from my stock one...

i cannot comment on the Pro 5.0 as i have never tried it, but i have heard good things about it... the advantage to it is that you can put a shorter stick on it (lou's short stick)... but its up to you...

Y'know, the only thing I don't like about my Ripper is that it transmits the vibration from the tranny a bit.
The stocker had those rubber parts in it to avoid this.

The only time I can hear it is when I don't have the stereo on.

So, that's pretty much never then.

thats totally a good call, pandamonkey, but i think it all comes down to the fact that it is so nice and tight, therefor, no mushy rubber bits, its all hardcore, and nice.... i just turn the mp3 player up a bit more ...

honestly, intake and exhaust are good first mods, but i almost creamed myself the first time i drove after installing the ripper... it is that good, unfortunatley you get used to it, and you loose the appreciation for it, until you drive somoene elses stock shifter...

I have the SLP (Hurst) shifter with Lou's Short Stick. I love it.

Lou's piece is about $60 USD on top of actually buying the shifter. i got the shifter on an SLP clearance for $99USD.
