Service engine light comes on when goind downhill

My service engine light comes on sometimes when im going downhill... not always... but like 10% of the time when driving downhill.. why is this happening? any idea?

Sorry, I couldn't help myself!! Seriously, you'll have to read the codes from your OBD connector. Most dealers will do it for free if they think they'll get the work. Probably an idle mixture/speed problem.

Check your various fluid levels (the car's fluid levels, that is) - that may be it. SES isn't a serious warning light, being usually emmissions related.

its a common problem with the V6 models ..

it comes on because ur missing 2 cylinders and ur motor cant coast downhill and sustain speed .. so its telling u to fix the problem at the root
