259 $$ for a custom grind is a really good deal !! Is that just the price through the website ?? I need to know what are ** ALL ** the numbers Im going to need to get a cam copied I heard they need more than just the specs that I listed eg ( 207 220 573 580 118.5 )

Tuning is the motherb!tch up here eh . we need someone real good up here to clean everything up. I was actually thinking of taking a trip down to the states earlier in the year to get that chris marsh dude to tune it after a heads cam header swap . There comes a point were I have to draw the line at how much $$ I will sink into this car though . . .

Chris man , what cam would you put in if you were doing it tomorow ?? We seem to be on the same page with what were after out of our cars !!

I can get it from Trevor..I just need the basic specs...is this Chris Marsh guy the one who owns a Monte SS with an LS1 in Kent? Also Ryan Karsack or something like that is good at it all well...he's an LS1tech.com moderator for computer tech....as for ChriSS, our guy...he likes the hammer cam....let me know about the cam

Haha. Yeah Mike, I do like that cam.

But, the LPE GT2-3 is growing on me. If I were to buy tomorrow, with the $ as it is, I would likely get the Lingenfelter. If I didn't care about emissions, I would go for Gigliotti's GX5 unit. These two newer cams have really been throwing out some good numbers. I really think that advancement with LS1 R&D in the area of camshafts is finally coming around. Some camshafts now are putting down numbers that 2 years ago even a full H/C LS1 was barely doing. You got to like progress.

man, I want an even bigger cam then what I have, mainly cuz i want more durration on the exhaust, if I had an LS1, single pattern would be good, darn LT1's & my heads with 72% intake/exhaust flow ratio

Hey Mike , I dont mind a two week turnover . Im going with the comp cams grind but I might have to tweek it for a little less lift depending on my rocker arm selection . If I go with a 1.8 or 1.85 arm I wll have to drop the lift back down .29 - .44 . This will actually work out awsome !! Im waiting on a pm from xtrooper on ls1.com about possibly upping the lsa to 116 also to mellow it out even more .

Here are the basic specs out of the box

212 218 558 563 115 <<< Comp Cams !!

198 197 478 478 115 <<< Stock Cam

What valve springs did you go with Mike ?? I noticed it said Manley valvetrain in your sig . I was told the ls6 springs work good up to .600 total lift as well as the comp cams 918's .

Both mine and the LS6 are good to .600 lift...but I wanted a lighter valvetrain so I went with full titanium

Whatever you decide...just let me know

That is PRECISELY why I like Lou's cams - monster #'s. LG doesn't put out a bad product IMO. He charges more for everything, but his R&D is very excellent. On the other hand, the cam is designed for serious users, but is by no means unstreetable. With tuning (and you need it here), for even whimpy-whossie automatics like mine it is very streetable. And, if you follow his recommendations for valvetrain upgrades, I doubt you'd ever have a problem with longetivity. He doesn't build anything for the short run.
