Yeah I heard your cam in the staging lanes from FOUR cars back I was like scared !! Where did you get your cam from ?? Custom grind . . . also where did you get it tuned ?? ??

Whatcha think of this new ls6 replacement from comp cams

( 212 218 558 563 116 lsa ) Nice and sneaky !!

Ive got the dope for the serious stuff just need a little more in the around town department . . . I like the grandpa cams 118.5 lsa like a cadallac

Id love to get a hand on the install . . . nothing really scares me except the valvesprings and the actual swap itself . . . . . and the dot to dot **** . . . .

Heres my thing with headers . . .

- 2200 $$ and about 10 - 20 rwhp .

- I will probably need to tune to correct my a/f after also

- possibility of 0 - 10 rwhp gain and running lika a bag of crap until I can get a good tune ( where to get it done is also a big problem )

- Banging and clearence with my sportlines is going to be a pita .

Cam

- 01 02 Fbodys got a total joke of a cam from the factory . Just a swap to a 02 ls6 people are seeing nice gains with no need for a tune ( total cost 800 $$ prolly ) There is so much room to grow with the cam and remain streatable ( my version ) I see this as the next best step ( and my clutch too )

Payam's secret to 117mph runs is putting a hole in the floor board & pushing the car with his feet!

LPE G2-3

207 220 573 580 117.5 ( now 118.5 LSA )

Supposed to make over 400 rwhp with heads and better than stock idle and drivability .
I like the looks of Lingenfelter's cam. Same model he uses in the twin tubo setup. High LSA is good for developing boost (if you ever go that way) and also keeps the car tame in sound. Matter of fact, the cam doesn't even seem to throw any codes (due to the LSA), which is a bonus with that lift. Probably does well on emissions.

It was designed to work with stock heads and manifolds really, and without tuning, though each of those three items will only help the overall rwhp. I have see it developing 380-390 rwhp with the cam and headers alone - no head work. Only requires that some 918 springs are added. Nothing else (no retianer swap). On some appearances its a small cam... on second looks, its not.

Dave...Mike here...259.00 is for a custom grind from Trevor at Texes Speed and Performance...great guy..he's porting my 5.3 heads....but really if you want a good mid cam maybe a 224R custom grind cam would be best at 115 LSA. I still say cam is best with headers...FLP's are the way to go....I love mine and you sen how low my car is...little issue's...just be careful. Anytime you need help I'm there baby

.....as for tuning...I need it bad...the car will give up another 20 hp with tuning.....

259 $$ for a custom grind is a really good deal !! Is that just the price through the website ?? I need to know what are ** ALL ** the numbers Im going to need to get a cam copied I heard they need more than just the specs that I listed eg ( 207 220 573 580 118.5 )

Tuning is the motherb!tch up here eh . we need someone real good up here to clean everything up. I was actually thinking of taking a trip down to the states earlier in the year to get that chris marsh dude to tune it after a heads cam header swap . There comes a point were I have to draw the line at how much $$ I will sink into this car though . . .

Chris man , what cam would you put in if you were doing it tomorow ?? We seem to be on the same page with what were after out of our cars !!
