The '69 Camaro Z28 is probably the highest desired Camaro of all time. They fetch $30-$35 US in mint conditon, I HIGHLY doubt that you will find one ANYWHERE, and if you do the guy will want a pretty penny for it in rough shape. If you want one to be a matching numbers DZ 302 and M22 then the price will skyrocket, as those parts are huge dollars if you find them.
Trust me, I am building a '69 Camaro right now, it's not a project you even want to think about unless you have ALOT of money, ALOT of resources and a hell of ALOT of time.
My suggestion to you, is that you find a running '69 in good condition. It will probably run you between $10-$15K Cdn for a non-numbers matching car. And then go from there, then you can swap in any motor-drivetrain combo you want.
I would highy recommend for you to NOT build a car from scratch, it's way over your head and from what I understand you are a teenager.

Holy **** , rebuilding any car is a totaly massive job let alone that one . Its alright though , Im searching for a numbers matching factory Barney purple edition delorean to rebuild myself . . . I just keep watching the buy and sell
Seriously though , to PROPERLY restore a car , any old car takes buckets of money and pacience even if you know how to do alot yourself . You may want to start with something a little easier . . . . I know where you can get a sweet , factory convertable, numbers matching k car cheap. Good luck
well thanks for your opinions, but i am going to build this car.
I think i confused you guys I am not going to restore it to numbers matching I am going to make it a drag car.All I Need rust bucket to start with
I have all the body supplies stuff at my freinds place.Rybar I am a teenager but I want to do this.
From what I understand I can do anything I want to in this country and I want to build this car.

Shadowlord, not trying to burst your bubble. But you can find a rust bucket Camaro for $1-2K You will need to spend at least $10K to do the body right (that isn't including paint) Body work is a huge PITA.
All I am trying to do is warn you that building this car is ALOT more work than you think, and don't tell me whatever. I know, I am building that car as we speak.
If you really want to build this car, You can do this: find any '69 Camaro body. Try to find a car as complete as possible. And a car with the least amount of rust. (Trust me you don't want a "rustbucket") Replacing quarter panels, floors, doors, fenders and hood is big bucks. About $5K just for those parts.
Any '69 Camaro can be made into a Z28 clone or look-a-like. All the bodies are basically the same. But Z28's had cowl hoods, which were different from an SS hood. And ONLY Z28's had the two wide stripes over the hood and trunk. You can easily make the car a clone, with the hood, some stripes and some Z28 badging it can be done. Then you can throw in any motor/tranny combo you want.

Personally, I'd just get any old Camaro around that year to work on and make a clone or a custom job.. not worth going thru the hassle of finding a real xxxx car with all numbers matching and all orig equip with the hefty premium on top of it..
ever thought of building a kit car?
Factory Five Racing
I would love to build a Ultima GTR
My fav, although not a kit car is, the Molser MT900
Anyways, they all have 1 thing in common.. They all weigh in around 2000 lbs!!!! Put in a warmed up 400 hp engine and you'll already have the weight/power ratio of 5:1!!!!
