Found it !!!! The car is in the August 2004 issue of Chevy High Performance. The article is called "Half Dome" and the engine is in a Daytona Yellow 69 Z28/RS. The engine is a bona fide 302ci hemi engine. The engines were going to be made as an option but because of the high cost of production they never made them and were sold to Smokey Yunick. It was custom fit with hemishperical combustion heads, reoriented valves, magnesium valve covers, a different camshaft etc... The upper intake, carbs and air cleaner are the same as the cross ram but the lower is custom cast for the hemi heads. It doesnt say anything about the block but I dont think it was a DZ block after all. ALL of this I took from the article.
