My dream car is on ebay
My dream car is on ebay
69 JL8
It's an origanal 1969 Z/28 cross ram intake DZ engine with the ULTRA rare JL8 four wheel disk option. I think the only thing that could get more rare was if was a convertable(only 1 or 2 made) or it was in fact a 302 hemi. Beautifully restored with the ultimate Camaro colour.

I had my work van in to check out a rattle in the exhaust.
It was a blue with white stripes Z/28 vert, all original numbers matching.
The fellow was as proud of his car as a person would expect.
I informed him of my love of Fbody's.........and told him I have a 97 Z28. He didn't appear to be at all interested.
The only thing that could have made his car better looking would have been if it had came with a RS package to compliment the Z/28.
Solid Lifter 302.........
.........What he heck is a hemi 302?

Re: My dream car is on ebay
Looks like an Ebay scam. Alot of First Gens are being sold on Ebay for rediculous prices, and people are getting ripped off. The guy has 2 feedback, only pics from a magazine and no description what so ever????
This is a scam waiting to happen.
If it's real, it should have alot of pics, and documentation to prove. There are alot of guys selling clone Z/28's and COPO's and scamming people as well.
My '69 will be a clone, but I will always be upfront with that, and never BS that it is a real Z/28.

Re: My dream car is on ebay
hemi was marketed and trademarked by dodge/chrysler. hemi is just the hemishperical design of the head chamber or some bull****. still never heard of a gm 302 hemi.
Re: My dream car is on ebay
Ive got the magazine article at work and will get it on Monday. It was in CHP or Super Chevy, I cant remember. I remember it was a very rare option(dont remember exactly but very few). It was probably a engine made for Trans AM racing.

The 302 came in all Z28's with 290 hp rating, Trans Am racers of that era had to have motors of 305 ci or smaller to qualify.
The other more rare motors are the Copo iron block 427 (which came in the Yenko Camaro's), or the ZL1 all aluminum 427. A ZL1 '69 Camaro will push around $200K or more if I'm correct.
Please correct me if I'm wrong on any of these points, going by memory here.
