the reason why you cant drag race in the wet is because were laying down some real power too dangerous

Real car guys race no matter what conditions lay ahead, the track is out right boring I'd have to say, I can't stand street legals because they let older hotrods run open headers & cars like ours they won't even let us open the cut-out

omg they dont run open headers. everyone has to have the same minimum exhaust perameters. older high hp cars make that much noise even through exh, i know its hard to comprehend

and as for real racers race in whatever wheather...... you wouldnt be saying that when you hydroplane into the wall at the top end with your foot to the floor. or try and launch some hp, its hard enough to keep it sane in the bone dry. stupid comment, just a stupid comment..........

A lot of cars do run straight pipes there. No matter if they do or not Matt's car was a lot quieter then many cars there and he was the only one targeted????? Those guys have something against newer cars. Even when Payam had his dual exhaust running through mufflers they told him he was too loud.

lol maybe it wasnt the cars, maybe they know know you guys or something? i know there is 1 or 2 mission staff out for me, alot of them know me. but hey, suck it up, or dont do it, what can i say. either that or try some real racing during the weekend, up against pros and you can make as much noise as you want SL is just a time trial practice, nothing more. just a place to hang out, tune your ride and hang with friends. when im there im chatting it up helping people on their cars or whatever, only get to see maybe 30% of the actual racing thats going on

the crew at mission is a old boys club, they cant stand to see youngsters running times that we do in our daily drivers.

and i dont know what matt meant by "conditions" but i drive extra cautiously in wet weather and wouldnt dream of trying to race, cant hook up.

road racign and AXing is another breed, takes a whole different set of driver skill compared to drag racing. but even then i dont know if id be up to AXing in wet weather makign a fool out of myself in a RWD car trying to manouver around a course.

dry weather though its open season on the highway and streets but im getting to old to be doign that too now.

yeah but the past few times ive shown up at river road the cops show up ten minutes later, or you get everyone parked and no one wants to race. not worht the gas to go out there. some days i feel like selling the bird and getting a impala ss or a mercury maurader and just cruising. but then ill spank someone with my stock lt1 and fall in love with it all over again.
