all us ls1's have to do is add oil the way we drink it. ive actually heard of some guys cars drinking oild so much they just change the filter every 3000 miles and oil the just add and add and add, and then change it at like 9000 miles. 2 guys on the ls1.com forums did it. i personally would not recommend it though

No way man, LS1's are good on gas. I don't think you know what bad gas mileage is untill you hear you car do this...

Grum grum grum grum, gagruma gagrauma gagrauma gagrauma, brum brum brum brum, vrem vrem vrem vrem....

Incase that didn't help here... Sound clip of what "bad" gas mileage is

the reason the 98,99 maybe 2000) ls1s eat so much oil is because of poor ring design. they changed the design because so many poeple complained and gm was doing re and re's on the rings. if your car is under warranty i think gm will install new rings to prevent blow by. i think gm have a service bulletin on it.

lets switch all our vins on each car and then send mine in as well
my dealership screwed me on my warranty. they printed out the date wrong on my sheet, and when i brought it in and showed them they did nothing about it. so now i have ****ed window motors, peeling clear coat on my rims, and there was some other small things i have fixed and forgotten about.
thanks port chev olds, ****ing tools

I don't know if they are man, I can tell you one thing & that is that LT1's were really rich from the factory, after I tunned my stock car I gained a few more clicks, my tops was 450 city driving on a bone stock 95 TA, I don't think an LS1 could do much better, stock BLM's go to 108 a lot meaning computer can't lean out any further.

Either way, the poor design is a joke, WTH is GM thinking, they're F*ck up they should of fixed it on every car.
