Haven't been to this board in a while, however I do browse it every now and then. Just thought I'd give a shout out to those Northwestern people. I've met a few of you folks, and I actually am planning a late summer BBQ which all of you that are interested will be invited. It'll be our 2nd annual BBQ and drive which will be open to ALL ENTHUSIASTS in general. Should be a great turn out, since our first annual hosted bbq inquired nearly 60ish people. Anyhow, I'm one of Ken's friends (kcsoz20) if he still wants to claim me....lol Hope to see some of you guys again this year.

Actually, the balance of power on this section of the board USED TO BE south of the border. In my opinion, most of the US members grew sick and tired of the plethora of BS posts, mindless bickering and directionless rants. It seems that majority of those that remain are us few BC members.

I actually prefer the "old days" of this section - I learned a LOT more then than I do now . (Don't let my Registered Date fool you...I had to re-register due to technical difficulties).

 

I agree to a point. The regional boards I think are just that, regional.

Social meeting place, local chatter, local buy and sell opportunities.

If I want to get technical and "learn" something, I'll go to the appropriate boards.

I DO agree that there are a lot of useless, inane posts, though I'm not saying I have not made the odd one myself.

 

Learn on LT1 tech and adv tech, have fun here. I bet you back in the day the club was never this organized with meets, cruises and getting together and having some kickass food, thanx Mike!

 

Nice to see ya pop in here and say hi. Got the car up and running. Got the Spohn torque arm in and the LCA's, now I just gotta wait for a nice day to take it and get my roll bar installed.

Hope to make a road trip up north here soon as the weather lets up.

If you're looking for Fbody stuff to do, mostly in WA, Team NW Fbody (whose members used to partrol here a lot, but not as much now since we have our own mailing list) has plenty of events. Everything from Install days, dyno days, autocross/drag/SCCA racing to stuff like cruises and BBQ's.

You'll find a few of us at CompD's tech sessions (in Federal Way every 3rd Saturday) as well.

If you wanta learn to drag race, or join a winning team, we also are the three-time defending champions of the CCC (Car Club Challenge) and are always looking for local talent (or wanabees like me ).

I don't see what the big deal is. eric99si's signature alludes to racing a v8 and winning, and Payam is never one to back down from a race. How is that being cocky and arrogant? After all he never said anything about winning.

I agree tho that Payam can be a cocky SOB at times, can't wait to do battle with him at Mission this year

My sig has a blank line there for either "win/lose" however I never stated winning...thats the entire point of the line. However, I'd feel pretty bad for a beefy V8 like I'm assuming you are actually losing to a little four banger that could. Maybe Ken's right about you spaying...maybe not... personally, if I was you, I'd spray all the way down the track giving all you have...cause I should in the hell wouldn't wanna lose to no honda

but yes, I'll run you on the TRACK cause I like running against faster cars than me...helps me get better times.
