Re: headers question

Any long tube header will work provided that you have cats on the car. All aircare looks for is if you have cats on the car. They could care less if you have long tube headers. All Aircare wants is your money, as far as I’m concerned it’s just a random number generator.

Re: headers question

your best bet would be FLPs. they are expensive but they come with dual cats, and off road pipe. from what i hear the best clearance of all the long tubes and lowered cars.

Re: headers question

I'm considering lt headers too. Narrowed my choice down to QTP, FLP or Kooks. I also love the sound of the Borla exhaust. The only thing holding me back besides the cash is I'm not sure I want to get rid of my stealth quiet dual-dual catback exhaust?

Re: headers question

but if you want to pass aircare id look into flps. the jethots are a rip off of hookers, and im not sure of pacesetters, but last i heard it is very difficult to get cats on them. that aside you have to ask yourself do you really NEED longtubes??

Re: headers question

If you need to pass air care you will have to go with TPIS, FLP, or Kooks. All of which are above $1000, the pacesetters are definately a cheaper option but you would have to customize the y-pipe to have cats, like Roy said if you don't plan to do much more has far as heads/cam long tubes aren't really going to make a difference, so you may want to look into SLP, Mac or Edelbrock shorties. My recomendation would be SLP's

Re: headers question

The TPIS headers dont come with EGR or AIR pump connections. I dont think it does, but do these have an effect on emissions?? Is it as long as your cats are warm, that your emissions will be unaffected by those two things not being hooked up??

Re: headers question

correct if you dont have the air or egr you can still pass as long as the pcm is programmed for it and your cats are warm.
