On Wednesday of last week I was driving down Seymor near W. Pender when
I ended up behind a 2004 Porsche Carrera Gt.It really surprised me to see a CarreraGT cause I just read about them. It is a V-10 605 H.P. with all kinds of goodies. One of the things that they did was to design a 6" Ceramic Clutch because the car is so low a regular Flywheel and clutch would not have worked. Anyways there were only 200 of these built at a price tag of 435,000.00 U.S., so whoever owns it has some influence and lotsa bucks.
So tonite I get a call from my oldest son and he tells me he saw a blurb on one of Vancouversw little papers that this car was impounded on Friday or Saturday, as he was caught street racing with a Turbo Porsche. Apparently they were clocked at 240 KPH in Vancouver swomewhere.
Now thats classic.

Re: Funny
My brother called me one night pretty drunk yelling that he was watching a Carrera GT rip up the streets downtown. He was babbling about how unbelievable the car looks but said there is absolutely no way to describe how awesome this car sounds. In his words, "It's sounds funkin religious, dude." Now that is one of my dream cars, and I dont have a very big list.
Re: Funny
My friend has seen this car twice, once in Yaletown and the other time near Boundary/Lougheed in Burnaby. He actually took a picture of it and e-mailed it to me.
It's a charcoal grey colour. I've been itching to see it in person, but the owner only takes it out on nice days. He is definately somebody with ALOT of paper.
