Drove a Ferrari 355 F1 Spyder!!
Drove my buddies car on the weekend, what a sweet freakin ride. And I just don't know how to explain how unreal the thing sounds with the top down and reving to 8500 rpm.
Here is a pic of the car: http://groups.msn.com/GMsFbody/rybar...to&PhotoID=581
He is actually selling it for $190,000 Cdn if you know anybody who wants it. I know I do, but damn I can't afford it.
The F1 shifter is strange, you start the car in nuetral, then tap the upshift paddle to engage it into 1st, then when you rev the engine slowly the clutch does not engage fully. It's hard to explain, kind of like when you rev the engine and are letting the clutch out slowly, and it engages. But it does it all automatically with no clutch pedal??
Then if you sit there for too long idling, it shifts back into neutral. And when you upshift, you don't take your foot off the gas, you basically powershift the thing, but the computer brings the revs down between shifts so you don't overrev. If I powershifted the T/A into 2nd, I would be into the curb at the side of the road.
All in all, it was f*cken awesome, it's been a dream of mine since I was a kid to drive a Ferrari. The thing is damn fast too, and revs to 9000 rpm. I reved it to 8500 in 1st-3rd gear. What a rush of power, speed, sound and sex appeal. And the thing has crazy brakes too. stops on a dime! I'm proud to say I'm Italian after driving this thing, they sure know how to build the ultimate machine!! I would say my T/A is faster, but the Ferrari is just sooo sweet ***.

Cool Ryan...I got my first Ferrari this weekend too. The guy came straight from Brian Jessel with his new 360 Modena to Le Croc where I was working. Awsome car but NOT worth $300,000. I'd rather have a Viper and a lot of extra money!!!

Congrats Ryan - I too have always wanted to drive a Ferrari. I did drive a 2001 911 Turbo once, but that was it. Driving a supercar is a different type of speed - it's not brute power but smoothness, sophistication, overall performance and sound.
Nicely done Andy, call me up next time that 360 is around. I'll be there in 2 seconds to check it out.
Aly, I agree with your comment 100%. Not the brute power, but smooth and strong power right up to those crazy RPM's.
