Car fixed

ok after all the hassles... i went to AAA transmission, they ran a code check (an charged me 125 for it, wtf) came up empty, they wanted to drop the tranny and open it up, i sed hell no. Took it to GM, they scanned it for free, found 4 codes in history, left it with them for 5 hours (i saw them drive it in rite away) they changed the rear diff seal (which i asked em to) found out my problem was a clogged fuel filter and line, fixed that, gave my car a wash and i have it back same day! im pretty happy with Lansdowne GM right now..

It's always the fuel filter, starve your car out of fuel a couple of times and that bad boy clogs up.

I've never changed mine.
I bought a fuel filter this spring to install sometime this summer.
This weekend looks like it.

Can someone give my dum azz a walk through on the process please?
