Camaro Newb here
My name is RJ and Im stationed at Eglin AFB, FL enlisted in the Air Force working Ammo. I currently own a 72 Camaro started life as a 307 car but def doesnt have that anymore. Its got a 406 cu in motor with a built TH350 tranny. I found this site due to Google due to wondering if C5 Z06 wheels will fit the second gen car. If so, what spacers will I need and what size tires? Anyway here to learn more about these cars and meet some Florida members.

Re: Camaro Newb here
Welcome!
I saw your post in the Wheels and Tires forum. The 1st and 2nd Gens have 0 offset wheels. The Corvette wheels can have offsets up to 3", making them way too deep and requiring the spacer. But without having the physical dimensions of the 2nd Gen wheel wells, it's hard to calculate the required spacer. You mention lowering it in the future, and that only complicates it more. I don't think there are a lot of 1st and 2nd Gen owners on the site, so it may take a while to get an answer. Perhaps finding someone with a Corvette wheel that you can test fit will help arrive at the answer. |
