FS: 1996 Impala SS
(want to keep in local forum - car will need to be picked up)
I have been thinking about this for a while and its becoming a real difficult decision. I can do the work and ride the summer out then trade it in or sell it - or I can sell it now. 1996 DGGM Impala SS with about 105k miles at last check. Car was never driven in winter and stored inside. I am looking to get $6000 with everything. Its been in storage for 7 years. When I put it away it ran fine and the next season I needed to move it but it didn't have spark. I'm thinking its just the opti/battery but as you know it can be anything. What I know it needs; battery, fluids/filters, front end work (it just tracked bad on the highway). The AC didn't work but I had replaced the compressor/lines - just didn't get it recharged so that would need to be looked at. One window was off the rollers too. Little background on the car itself (it ran perfect when put away); Sunroof GM 845 cam w/ springs/lifters SVO 30# injectors 52mm Throttle Body ODB1 PCM with pcmforless programming (I also have an ODB2 Ed Wright tuned PCM) SLP converter Transgo stage 3 shift kit K&N cold air intake Edelbrock shorty headers ATR quad 2.5" T304 exhaust (I removed and still have the rear silencers - in their place I just put 2.5" straight with turndown) Accel 300+ 160* stat Mez electric water pump Brakes were new (2 months old) performance friction pads with Autospeciality (I think) rotors with ATE blue fluid HA rear sway bar (single best mod done to the car period) Fbody front sway bar Bilstein shocks (I don't remember which ones, the popular set for 'not too stiff' and stock height) BMR lower control arms (not positive if I did the uppers too) Triple gauge pod with Autometer Ultralight gauges - all electric but not installed; Fuel pressure, oil pressure, temp Alpine CD head unit with a 1/2DIN physical EQ It currently has Infinity Perfect 6.5" speakers in the front - I want to keep these or we can talk about them but I will leave the 6.5" adapter plate It also currently has RF amps wired in which I will be taking. You can use whatever amp you please but I will leave the wiring (3 sets RCAs, power, ground and speaker wire already run) Viper alarm with both key fobs Upgraded headlight harness (I forget who made them back then but it is *high* quality using only the best parts) with 80w low and 100w high beams Carpeted trunk side protectors Parts that I know I have that go with it: Bbody factory service manuals Walbro 255LPH fuel pump set of spark plugs Aluminum heads - complete from a '95 Fbody Almost all stock parts except exhaust Export pipes (I'm pretty sure the O2 sensor bungs are welded in) O2 sims I know I had some of the corvette fuel rail covers but think I have some nice aluminum ones on now - or ready to go on I know that I am missing something too. Probably a lot of things! Some old pictures from an old digital camera http://gbelli.cz28.com/impala.html Let me know - Gregb (at) dea.net |

Re: FS: 1996 Impala SS
Same here - it's a very well put together car, sounds great and runs (ran great) before it went into storage.
Greg - you should post in LS1 Tech local section as well. |
