cruise nights
 

My iroc is finally running again. Anybody interested in doing some cruise nights in the Worcester area? I have a couple of third gens in right now, just want to get together a dozen or so.

Too far for me. That's about 45 minutes away. Thats a cruise all in itself. :lol:

ever hear of whips' wheels magazine? they have a bunch of cruise nights listed in that magazine... check it out

You should check out Heberts candy mansion in Shrewsbury...I think it's either Wednesday or Thursday night. If my car was out of storage I'd be interested but I thgink this season has passed me by. :(

I live in Western MA. Out our way every Monday night they have a cruise in CT near Bradley Airport at a place called Marks Automotive. Sounds far, I know, but from Springfield only it's like 15-20 minutes once you know how to get there avoiding traffic. This place is actually a junk yard but it is placed in the country. He has a HUGE field. On any given night you may see 600 to 700 cars, but you can't predict the turn out it is kinda wierd. A few weeks back they had the guy from American Grafitti there signing stuff (the guy Harrison Ford raced in the yellow 32 Ford). They were suposed to have Cindy Williams to I think. But what I go for is the cars. You never know what you will see. Oldies, pro streets, retro drag cars, all stock restorations, and of course new hi dollar cars (Z-06's, 07 Shelby Mustangs, Vipers, ect) They have a hanger with food and a DJ, and a few vendors. Plus they politely concentrate all the ricers and guys w/ Lambo doors and more neon than a Vegas casino into one corner. I've seen a two stroke Saab from the 50's w/oil injection and an air cooled motor. One old dude (I think may have died, or sold the car) had a Grey 56 Olds with a BB Chevy, blown and it was so detailed that after he ran out of stuff do where you could see it, he bought a lift did the underside of the car. I've never seen a driver so detailed. Etched glass, even lacquer paint on the nitruos bottle! Pinstriping under the car :confused: It's usually a good show. I went twice this year once the turnout was huge, and the other time it was only like 250-300 cars.

What car do you bring down? and how many f bodys are usually down there?

My Camaro. There are a handfull of 4th gen cars. You do see some 3rd gens, but by and large you mostly see 1st gen Camaro's and Firebirds. Many of the ones you see are really nicely done. Same with the Vettes.
