Weekend Nitrous

I was looking at the $1300 plate system from nitrous outlet and had a few ?s.
I have a newly rebuilt 355, nothing dramatic, basically stock internals.
I have read on here about nitrous pistons and rings. If I dont have these, will I damage the motor if Im only spraying 100-150 shot every few weekends in the winter. The kit has all the bells and whistles, window switch, fpss, so on.
Also, nitrous torque converters, pretty sure I read something about those. I have a Hughes 3000 stall, built transmission. Is it gonna screw that up? Just wanna basically know if I buy the right kit with all the safety measures, will it screw up the motor? I didnt build it for nitrous, but now I want to see what its like spraying. Hope it makes me and my Z28 smile.

If it is tuned correctly you should have no problem with a 100-150 shot. Lots of people spray 150 on stock higher mileage bottom ends. You could look into a tc with an antiballoon plate though.
