Hey everyone,
I'm a newbie to nitrous.... whats your opinion about the Venom Nitrous system VCM-1000 ??? I heard good things about it from a couple of LS1 guys that use it very successful
It is supposed to be VERY safe and easy to use since it uses the O2 readings for Fuel/Nitrous mixture.
Is it also a good setup on the LT1 ? Is there a better System out there ? What is the good thing about having this computerized Nitrous ?

At WOT the O2's in are cars are worthless. The PCM doesn't use them so I don't think the nitrous kit would be able too either. At least not to anything accurate. Are O2's are so narrow they act more like on/off switches.
Now if the kit comes with a wideband O2 then it maybe a good way to go.

I think this kit was desighned mainly for imports that use a wideband O2.

 

Yes we dont use the o2s during WOT but before WOT the computer takes in account the O2 readings and figures everything out from there. For example if you have bad 02s and then hit WOT your car wont run as good as compared to haveing good ones and then hitting WOT. I read this on the board a while back. I could be wrong so check up on it. Does Venom make this kit for the Lt1 or are you going to use the ls1 version?

 

Venom has been talked about here before,and most of us avoided it because it rely's on narrow band stock O2 sensors which are NOT accurate for power adders.
We even emailed thier tech line with some intense questions,and the repsonses that came back was useless double talk.

IMO stick with what works,and leave the venom stuff to the imports.
