Thread Sealer

I put some on the nipple attached to my bottle befor reading the directions. How do I remove it, and what all do I need to use thread sealer on? I have all the safety equiptment + purge.

Thread sealer should only be used on NPT threads, AN fittings don't require sealers. To remove the old sealant just heat it up with a cigarate lighter and wipe clean.

AN fittings are the ones with the 6 point nut on the end (Red or Blue). They do not require thread sealer.

In other words, the AN fittings are the ones that have the round flare on the end of them. The NPT fitting's just have threads all the way down them.
