Ring gap on LT1's??? Can it handle a 150hp shot?

Just wondering what the stock ring gap is on the LT1's i looked but couldn't find anything. I'm thinking about jetting up to a 150hp shot. Just don't want to fry rings.

thanks

Josh

Don't know the exact gap, but I've been spraying a NX 150 shot for 2 years and a NX 175 shot for the last year. No probs yet with the 75k stock shortblock.

How many miles on that thing? I am looking at a 150-175 for my 96. I have been told not to push it beyond 100hp with a stock motor holding on with 106k miles. Are you stock?

utnill about 1000 miles I had a stock motor with bolton's I put heads and cam in it now and have been spraying since a 104k it has a close to a 114k on it now. Just get a good ignition box and fuel pump.. 103 auto plugs and you should be set..

I've done the 150 shot a couple times on the street with 93 octane. But at the track and with the 175 shot I use Sunoco 104 unleaded.

I have a 170 shot compucar single nozzle setup on my car right now, tho my car is popping on the up side of 5k rpms. Think the fuel pump is falling off.
