Progressive Controller Help...
im thinkng about going with a nitrous setup(dont know, dry or wet yet), and im interested in a progressive controller.the setup i'll be running is a full bolton lt1, with a full suspension.i want the nitrous to activate a certin way and was wondering if this is possible with a controller.
1st-minimal like a 75 shot at 3000-red line. 2nd-100-115 hp shot. 3000-red line. 3rd-100% fully activated, same in 4th. max will probally be a 150 shot, maybe a 200, not sure yet. any suggestions or reccogmendations??? thanks. |
Re: Progressive Controller Help...
I think the NX maximizer would be a good setup for you to look at..... Here's more info on it....
It's pretty cool cause you use a palm pilot to upload, and modify your stuff... The palm pilot is however not included... |
Re: Progressive Controller Help...
Sounds like you might want to go with a wet kit for that kind of set up. Reason being if your shooting progressivly, you'd want the best fuel/air mix with the Nitrous. Some of the more expirianced guys help me out here. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Re: Progressive Controller Help...
yea, trying to detrmine that, but dry no2 is just effective when tuned properly.

Re: Progressive Controller Help...
Yeah, and cheaper...... I prefer wet kits, but alot of people are very successful with dry kits.

Re: Progressive Controller Help...
I'm sure it's possible, but remember that you'll get the best gains by spraying as much nitrous as early in the run as you can. With decent tires I would think first gear would be the only time you would need to worry about traction, unless the track prep is absolutely terrible. I have the 125 jets in my car now, and I can hit it on the street with street tires at 3,500 RPM and the tires will barely spin, if at all. This is on nice concrete of course. Maybe a simple two-stage would work. Spray a 50 shot in first and then the full 150 or 200 shot once you're in second gear. Nitrous is some awesome stuff, though spending $32.50 a week to fill the bottle can get a bit tiresome. However, it's all worthwhile when you feel the awesome toque that it produces! :D

Re: Progressive Controller Help...
go wet and the NX Maximizer is your best bet.
You dont go by shot size when you are tuning, you will jet the nozzle to the max size you want to run and tune the car accordingly. then for launch control you can open the solenoids at a % and open them to a % in a stepped time. There is a setting for each gear. |
Re: Progressive Controller Help...
this is what im having a hard time understanding.is there a controller on the progressive controller, or is it tuned for each gear on a laptop?if i remember correctly thhere is a timing switch and a % switch on the controller, so what do you do?
do you activate the system, then select a % of the nitrous that sprays in a timed release, but wouldnt that spray not the full %?if do you have to manually change the % while going down the track?sorry, im just trying to get things togther, thanks... |
Re: Progressive Controller Help...
The controllers pulse (open and close) the solenoids very fast to simulate an open %.
You can control (before you run by programming the controller) what % each gear starts at, what % it stops at, and how long it takes between the 2 %'s. The NX maximizer is programed via laptop or palm. |
