Plate Style compared to Direct Port questions.

I ran a TnT plate setup on my old camaro, digital 6, window switch, fpss, was running a 100 shot

had a lean situation in both rear cylinders and melted off the end of the spark plugs and chunked them threw a valve and ruined the seat.

I did not have a different fuel pump but i was running good gas and also had it on a dyno with the n2o to verify the air fuel etc when on the spray everything was in the green but this problem happened.

This is all in the past but here lately ive been thinking about the bottle again,

my problem is im kind of scared to go with a non direct port system maybe im just being retarded.

but given the situation and the price differences what are the pros and the cons of the two setups, on a lt1 i really feel like itd be hard for each cylinder to get the same mix of nitrous and fuel as the others.

or maybe i should look at a normal setup with a dedicated fuel setup.

what is everyones opinions on this.

Not saying this is exactly what happened in your situation ....but...in the testing we went through we saw problems with placing the nozzles behind the TB. This aims the discharge at the back of the intake and causes distribution issues from overpowering the back cylinders and overshooting the front ones. This can cause the overall A/F to be OK but can damage the motor in the process.

Our plate aims the discharge across the throat of the intake and allows the natural induction of the engine to pull the mixture in.

If you are wanting to run up to a 150-200 shot the plate will be better than a nozzle...but above 200 I would suggest a direct port.

Please let me know if you have any other questions

i planned on ordering from you if i decided on going back to the bottle, i see what your saying with the behind the throttle body plate like i used to have.

I plan on Starting with around a 150 shot at first but plan on doing a rebuild soon to support a much higher shot, question is though on the install of a direct port do you offer any installs for customers as drilling/tapping the intake bending the lines and mounting the selanoids.

maybe we could talk some prices on a kit if you do any installs i seen a lt1 system in your gallery of direct ports that i really liked.

Yes we can install the DP for you...the charge to plumb a standard DP is $350

The pictures in the installation gallery are the manifolds as they were shipped to the customer.

A Plate/DP 2 stage kit would be the ultimate in looks/performance
