I wouldnt worry, its usually just when you ran it really lean it melted a bit of the piston skirting which turns white when it burns.

I have no clue, but i thought id scare the hell out of you

Thats common when running some types of race fuel - its usually not the best for your O2 sensors but it wont necessarily kill them right off the bat either...

It is just the fuel, when I put the 110 fuel in my bike the exhaust tip of it turns completely white as well.

Thumbs up Re: Inside of tail pipes are white??

The white is more than likely the cause of the lead they put in the race gas. the residue plugs cat's and kills O2's so dont use it too much. I would run unleaded race gas if you have either.

Re: Inside of tail pipes are white??

The odds are it's not a lean condition causing it, unless you drive to store and work everyday juicing the snot out of ur car. Most likely a by product of the gasoline you used. I can't say I've ever seen a exhaust turn white from running lean a couple times at the track, not without seeing some parts of ur engine chillin out at the bottom of ur oil pan...

I don't run race gas... but my friends Supra always has white residue on the pipe after making a pass with 110. It's not a lean sign... it's just the gas.
