Arrow Help!

I want to put nitrous on my Z28 and everyone keeps telling me that it will destroy my engine. If I run a wide open throttle system their should not be that much ware and tear done to my engine right?

Just read through a few pages here, this has been discussed MANY times.

If done RIGHT,it wont hurt anything,if done wrong.......boom.I have run Nitrous on everything from a 4 banger escort,to my Trans Am and a few pickup's,too many cars to count, only problem we had was with a Grand national, lost the head gaskets.

Plenty of good advice here, just do a lil more reading and then ask questions.

I was asking because I have heard from several mechanics that nitrous is bad way to get power and will total your engine. So I'm not sure who to trust.

Apparently they arent mechanic's,they are part hangers.

I have been running nitrous for over 9 years.....havent wrecked an engine yet,as with ANY power adder, you need to do all the safety items.

Yes will have a better chance at hurting the engine when USING nitrous, but it doesnt "eat/kill" anything.
