Finally sprayed it - one question?

I finally got my TNT F1 wet kit all together and I took the car out for a ride. I tested it on an open stretch of interstate. I was going 65 then floored it (A4 downshifts to 2nd, 2.73 gears) then pushed the button. It hesitated for a split second and then took off like a bat out of hell. This was my first ride in a nitroused car, needless to say I am an addict now.

My question is about the hesitation. Is that normal? I think that it could be the fuel pressure drop from the fuel noid opening and then starving the injectors for a second. But, this was only a 75 shot so I didn't think the drop would be that bad.

Unfortunately I don't have the money for a fuel pressure gauge now, but I will be getting one in the future. Does this always happen or is something wrong?

Thanks for all of the help I have got from people here so far.
Dustin

BTW this is on a 2002 z28, A4 w/ 2.73 gears.

if you don't have a purge kit, it could have been a delay as the nitrous filled the line.

I don't have a purge yet so that would make sense. I didn't notice the hesitation as bad the second time I hit it but it was still there.

Thanks

Thumbs up

I think that is the only problem. I think I'll have my GF buy me a purge for my birthday

The 100 jets are going in ASAP. I am going to give my Dad a ride as soon as it dries out. I can't wait to see his face, this stuff is amazing!!!

Thanks again for the help, this site amazes me with all of the people who know so much about their cars that can give quick responses to almost any question.

It's funny that this post just came up again. When I posted (1 year ago) I had never been in a car with N2O before. I definately got hooked. I sold that car so I could afford a car with a built motor. I built my LT1 to take a lot of N2O. I am working on a dual stage 225 shot with a stand alone fuel system right now. I also have a direct port manifold ready to go when it is time to go bigger than 225. Yes I am addicted.

I too just got my car finally running right and my TNT F1 working good so I sprayed for the first time earlier today. Did you really notice the 75 shot? I tried it twice, first time with cutout closed and I waited until I got into second gear before I hit it. Didn't feel much of anything but my buddy said it seemed quicker. Second time I hit it in first gear with cutout open and as soon as it hit the 3500 rpm I have the window switch set to it jerked me back in the seat. The jerk wasn't great but you could feel it. I always heard you won't feel much of a difference with a 75 shot, and that it finally started getting noticable around 125 shot.
