A 3 Day Cruise to Cali and Back
OK I think AZFBA is planing a 3 Day cruise in May. I am going to go on this and I think it will be a good Idea to meet our SOL CAL F Body members.

I think the plan is from Phoenix to San Deigo to LA and Las Vegas. Not to Sure the actual travel plan. So Save up Peoples!

How about a Spring Break Cruise!!!

Sunday-Tuesday converge in Huntington Beach, Ca (Surf City)
Wednesday-Thursday converge to Vegas, Nv
Friday-Sunday converge in Copper Canyon/Havasu, Az

Nothing but Camaros on Highway 15 and 10... sound cool!

I'm with the Southern California Camaro Connection. Perhaps I can do some grunt work and plan the So Cal and coast leg of the event! We could publicize it with GM and see if we can get some special sponsorship stuff.

The only problem with this is we all have to work, so taking a week of would be kind of hard. That is why I am planning it on the Memorial Day holiday. Here is what I was planning:

THESE ARE NOT THE DEFINATE PLANS JUST SOME IDEAS I HAD!

I was thinking we could leave Friday morning and drive to San Diego/LA area and stay the night there...I am going to try and get something planned to do while we are there but haven't figured out what yet. Saturday we drive to Las Vegas, hopefully we can get some SoCal F-bodies to come with us, and the New Mexico F-bodies to meet us there. That night we all could hit up a bar or something...Sunday morning I was thinking we could check out the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and get a tour of the Shelby facility. After that we would drive back down to Arizona where we all can hit up the Go Kart track. The SoCal/NM guys could stay the night here and Monday morning drive back to California, and the New Mexico guys could head back to Alberqurque. I figured we could do this from May28-30, that way May 31st which is Memorial day can be used for the SoCal/NM guys to drive home.

Obviously I would invite our AZLS1 brothers/sisters to come with us, but I was also going to see if New Mexico F-bodies wanted to meet up with us in Las Vegas. I doubt any of them would make the 7hour drive to Phoenix to start the trip here, but you never know....I figured getting them to meet us in Las Vegas would be a better plan.

To be perfectly honest after discussing this "trip" last weekend, some of us thought about just going from Phoenix to Vegas and meeting up w/the group when they roll in from Cali. It'd be like mini-Vegas Invasion.

As of right now I'll be involved in some capacity or another!

In the other thread someone(forgot who) asked how long it takes to get from Havasu from phx or the other way around. Takes 3-3.5 hours.

Once again, I'de most likely be down, depending on whats going on here.

We need a sign up chart. This will be a fun event because I hear that LV is fun when there are lots of friends together.

I'm definitely up for this. Yea, the LV guys are great to hang out with. When I attended this year's LV invasion, we (the Los Angeles guys that went to Vegas) had a blast.

That was me that asked, thanks! I would LOVE to make a Vegas run, takes me about the same time to get to Havasu as it does to Vegas, that's why I asked. I think I have been to Phoenix before, but when I was younger (dinasour ages) I don't really remember.
Anyway, I will keep checked in here, because I would love to go!

Definitely dude. I'm all about hitting Vegas up. Forget going to Cali (no offense to the Cali folks) but I just dont want to be in the car driving for literally 3 days. I'm more than willing to meet the folks who are going/coming from Cali in Vegas.

3 days in the car isn't that bad...
21 hours straight though (1350 miles)... now that sucks...
either way I'm down for it.

1350 miles. That's about 800 more miles that my or anyone elses car has a chance of breaking down. Let's not kid ourselves Val, most of us don't have the best of luck when it comes to f-bodies.

Your car sucks.. - My car will last that long drive... question is.. Would I be able to last that long leaving the wife & kid behind...

I've taken my car cross country twice... and a bunch of "nascar" run to toronto canada .... I'm sure 1300 miles isn't gonna hurt it.

Oh come on where's your sense of adventure?
For the record, the trip was made in the 92... yep a 12y/o car.
Not a problem, ever.
