Timing is everything...
Timing is everything...
So I'm on Woodward with my 12 year old son in the '80 pro-street.I stop to top off at the Speedway in Birmingham and when I re-start the motor it sounds amazingly like a pushrod end or rocker arm breaks and starts
making racket.
Oh well, I got another 427 I was gonna drop in it afterthe cruise anyway.Funny thing is, after sitting for about 15 minutes while I
pull both valve covers off the hot s.o.b.,just to find no damage anywhere,
it drives back home to Pontiac without giving up the ghost.Must have been
trying to tell me something though. At least the other motor is the better of the two anyway.
Re: Timing is everything...
dang, thats not the right spot to have car trouble's. glad it fixed it self at least long enough for you to get it home. I was there with my dad in his T/A. TONS of cool cars out. awesome!

Re: Timing is everything...
New motor is in and it's a monster.
I went ahead and put the 4500 stall converter in the car also.
I missed Woodward by a day, but the rest of the summer should be fun!
