Today feels like fall, so winter won't be far.

Come on, Dave, don't tell me you're hoping for snow!

And if you are, stopitrightnow!!!

The mini-LAN we had over at Q's last weekend got me back into the mood for gaming. Time to order that new video card I guess!

how does a lan party work? Everyone just brings there comps over and network them together? What general games are played?

Don't worry about having patches and stuff... many of us have high speed and store the patches. However, halls are quite costly. I've been to about one LAN each month throughout the summer. Since I got DSL (last month sometime) I've been gaming up a storm. Basements are awesome for LANs because they are darker and cooler... course cooler won't matter much shortly!

Games we play:
Unreal Tournament 2003 (I would love to challenge some people with this one)
Ravenshield (I'm not as skilled at it, but it's fun)
Battlefield (Just when I started getting into this, everyone switched to DC... eww.)
Generals (We usually fire up at least one game of this during the party.)

Games we used to play:
Unreal Tournament (replaced with UT2003)
Medal of Honor Assault/Spearhead (I like Assault better... less grenades)
Ghost Recon (Like Ravenshield so I haven't reinstalled it.)

I just finished putting together my game rig and server last weekend. I have a bit more rearranging to do, but both systems will be ready to go for whatever gets planned.

You have not seen "disaster" until you have seen the basement at my house.

That explains Joes. Why didn't you play at Q's? We played for almost 22 hours. You stopped after 3 or 4.

Soon, hopefully. I just got Spearhead for MOH, and I'm getting Secret Weapons of WWII for BF1942 this week. Also, I've been downloading maps for both games like crazy! We'll have a huge selection to choose from this year.

One more thing: I'm building a new PC here shortly, so I'll be able to bring my old one to use as a dedicated server.
