Puts it all in perspective
Puts it all in perspective
After church this morning, several people from the choir including Mom, Dad, and I, along with a handful of members of the congregation, went to Rose Arbor (a Hospice Care facility) to sing for two residents who are living there. Mom, Dad, and I were among the last ones to walk out the front door, and someone else commented how thankful he was just to be walking out of the door. It kind of put my whole past week in perspective for me. Yeah, so my car doesn't run, but I got another one... so the computer at work isn't working right, but I found another way to do what I needed to do... so a lot of little things were stressing me, but I got through it...
I stood out on my front porch when we came home and smelled spring in the air and the warm sun on my face and knew that my family was nearby and I almost cried.
Sometimes it's good to have experiences like that. Makes a person thankful for life and health and loved ones. The small stuff we often take for granted.

I hear you there........ I have the Ann Arbor Hospice right around the corner from me. I have been meaning to go see if they need any one to visit with patients. You do feel lucky after that experience.
